The character that I designed for this project became known as Mr Zing and he has been used throughout the marketing material as an easily recognisable and consistent feature of the brand. Boasting a bandana, sunglasses and boxing gloves, this character helps to bring the brand to life, creating a playful and dynamic energy. This idea came from the concept that the flavour of these pickles is so powerful and tangy that it essentially ‘packs a punch’ when you bite into each one.

The logo uses a typeface called Poplin, selected for its forward-leaning and slender letters that evoke a sense of swift motion, mirroring the burst of flavour when you taste the product. On the pickle jar packaging, it creates the impression that Mr. Zing is propelling the word forward with great force, emphasising the potency of the flavour.

Introducing ZING!—the pickle brand that brings an explosion of flavour to all meals and snacks. Perfectly crafted for those who crave a tangy punch, ZING! offers pickles bursting with zest and character. This dynamic brand offers the ideal blend of boldness and tang, with a vibrant colour palette that exudes playfulness and fun. For food lovers who live life with a little extra flair, ZING! is the go-to for unforgettable taste and excitement.

Print collateral plays a crucial role in food brands, serving as an effective way to familiarise customers with products before they encounter them in stores. To capitalise on this, I created two billboards—one for each pickle flavour—and positioned them in high-traffic areas to maximise visibility.

The tone of voice aligns with the concept of the flavour "packing a punch," utilising bold language to convey its intensity. This visual dynamism of the falling pickles and off-centre text, reinforces the brand's lively personality, capturing attention and inviting passersby to engage with the product. By combining striking visuals with compelling language, the billboards effectively draw the eye and create a memorable impression that encourages customers to seek out the flavors in stores.

Digital touch points are essential for any food brand, including a well-designed website and engaging content for social media platforms. To maintain brand consistency, I created a visually appealing website homepage that aligns with the brand colours, ensuring a cohesive look and feel. Additionally, I developed a layout for social media posts that reflects the same vibrant aesthetic.

The tone of voice across these digital platforms is consistent and instantly recognisable, serving as a hallmark of the brand’s identity. This approach not only reinforces brand messaging but also helps build a strong online presence. By effectively integrating the brand’s personality into both the website and social media, we can foster engagement and create a lasting connection with our audience.
